Stories of the Heart: Sr. Augustine Pirrone, MSC

“ In Buffalo, NY, God had set eyes on Agatha Pirrone and she had responded – entering the MSCs on January 9, 1935. Eight months later, Agatha received the name Augustine of Jesus Crucified. Augustine’s “yes” takes her to missions in Montreal, New York, Seattle, Chicago, and Dobbs Ferry, NY. Augustine is asked to minister in a variety of ways, but, perhaps, her most treasured times are those serving as sacristan. Sister Augustine’s strong faith and love of the Institute proves to be the mainstay of her life. Every one of us knows how ardent Sr. Augustine’s desire is for vocations to the MSCs”.

– excerpts from Sr. Catherine Garry’s remarks.
