HUD has just celebrated 50 years of their 202 Senior Housing program.  They have selected Cabrini Senior Housing as their model for the entire United States of a multi funded 202 Senior Housing.  The following is part of a DVD they put together for the celebration.

Cabrini First Hill Apartments consists of 50 units of affordable, independent living with supportive services for the low-income and frail elderly, located in downtown Seattle. The facility is the first project in the country to be built by combining both HUD Section 202 funds and low-income housing tax credit equity. The six-story building includes apartments for seniors 62 years and older, a community gathering space with a kitchen and fireplace, a computer lab / library room, a top floor solarium, and a landscaped courtyard. The complex also includes 7,000 square feet of street level retail space. Cabrini First Hill Apartments is newest mission of the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart. The opening marks the return of a Cabrini mission presence on this site in more than a decade when St. Cabrini Hospital closed in 1990.
